National Service Corps
Be it enacted, that all 18 year-olds, upon high school graduation, will face mandatory service in the National Service Corps for a minimum obligation of 2 years. Upon successful completion, the NSC member will receive a two-year scholarship towards a post-secondary vocational, or collegiate education at a public vocational or collegiate institution.
The National Service Corps will include community service and or military service obligations. Funds will be drawn from the US Treasury, with the initial allocation distributed in 2011 of $25 billion. Federal agencies, as designated by the Secretary of Human and Health Services and Secretary of Defense, will administer the program.
