Homework:

Although America is often known as a two-party system, voters have a variety of political parties to select qualified candidates. Complete the following:

Research three issues from the Democratic and Republican party platforms and three issues from TWO (2) Third party platforms. Links to official party web-pages can be found here:  http://www.politics1.com/parties.htm

So the paper should be structured in 5 parts: 

1. Democratic Party stance on three issues (what do these parties believe about these issues?) ex: 1) abortion ….. 2) education….. 3) crime… or pick an issue that you are interested in.  Then identify where this party generally is on the political spectrum and why.
2. THEN, repeat the process for the Republican Party. (issues, where they are on the political spectrum)
3. Third Party #1 (issues, where they are on the political spectrum)
4. Third Party #2 (issues, where they are on the political spectrum)
5. If there was an election tomorrow, which party would you vote for and why? Explain three reasons.

This is due on Friday!!!! The paper should be 2 pages and written in your own words—don’t quote entire sections in this paper. Please include a link to the websites where you got your information from…100 points
